I am a musician who has been composing and recording music for a while now but not for profit. I have been planing to start selling my music, I have thought of the whole Fiverr thing in the past to sell music on it but it never seemed like I could really sell music or audio on Fiverr, but then It dawned on my last night that maybe I could! My question to you guys who maybe have experience with Fiverr is, in what way should I attempt to sell music on it? Because the way that made sense to me on Fiverr would be to create a custom audio track in accordance to what the buyer wants. The problem with that is it would be too time consuming for just one $5 buy each time, so thats why I counted Fiverr out as a possibility. Would it be possible to make any sales on lets say royalty free pre-recorded music pack of maybe 5-10 tracks and just sell them over and over? So that way the buyers are getting high quality music they can do whatever they want with but It doesn't take much of my time to finish the sale.
theres a site like fiverr called twentyy or use that soundcloud site ive seen djs and stuff post their stuff to that, not sure how it works though . . .
Hi, Those prerecorded packs should be in a few genres like maybe country, rock, hiphop, if theres even a market for that. The best way to make money on fiverr imho is to put your CD(as an artist) out to the fiverr community as a way to get your CD+(bonus tracks) for $5. Soundcloud is a very professional site and can be used to preview your CD and introduce those prerecorded track packs. You can also sell there. If fiverr users see your CD elsewhere for a higher price and they perceive quality then they will buy your fiverr CD(tracks) deal. Good Luck.
I honestly think your best bet for selling music online is to use a content locker. This will help you earn the same amount of money (compared to selling it directly for cash) and not have to charge the end user ANYTHING! A problem in the music industry is you are never sure if you will like the song (is one song really worth $1.00), so for you to get paid, and not having the end user spend any money is going to be a WIN WIN for all! Hope this helps and good luck!!!
