I have been reading about Corporate blogging lately and had few ideas criss crossing my head. There are few medium to large sized potential customers who i see as my prospective clients. What all are the benefits of corporate blogging I can show to them. Few which I beleive are sure shots: 1) An effecient way for employees to vocie their concerns and get direct instant replies from the management. 2) The blog can bring customers closer to the brand/organization and can serve as an efficient Feedback soliciting mechansim for the organization. 3) .... ? what more
1) You could use blogging as a form of documentation. ive rolled it out to a client and they use it for change management. They are a Medical company and their it staff use the blog to record all changes they make to the system. Great for searching for future use and historic changes tracked. They can include print screens etc... 2) Ive rolled out a blog to a similar manufacturing company who wants to get their R&D guys on the global stage. They now have 2 R&D guys blogging about various company efforts and also efforts of others , reaction to Industry news etc. Soon rolling to their Sales and marketing. It makes them look professional and authority figures on their subject. The industry they are involved in now look to them for the decisions and it shows they are strong. Go for it !
