    You should start from bookmark in socials network sites next get some quality links and You can also exchange abnners with similar sites !

    if there are any promoting techniques you've ever heard of, like article writing, using web2.0 sites to promote it, buying ads, links, banners, w/e

    Just try it all, and dump the ones that don't give a good ROI, you'll be left with a nice steady swarm of traffic :)
