How should I promote my new gaming related forums?

    I have just created a new gaming forum, and I am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to promoted it other than PPC.

    I cant really think of much that would help. I dont want to post in other gaming forums about it because thats disrespectful.

    Top sites probably won't do you or the forum any good. I suggest get some content like in-game videos. Fill the forum up with posts too?

    I have a gaming forum (link in sig) too I want to promote and I'm looking for help to get it active too...

    Right now, I am posting at other gaming forums with a link to my forums in the sig... I'm also getting some friends to post to make it appear active.

    I'm not sure what else to do...

    I say go to blogs that are about gaming and make comments with a link in your sig. Press releases might be good also.
