How should I promote a Social Bookmarking site?

    I've read answer after answer regarding questions about blog promotion. Article submissions, blog carnivals, comments, social bookmarking, etc...

    But what if it's a social bookmarking site that I'm trying to promote? I can't exactly submit anything to Digg/Reddit/Mixx... And I don't have articles to submit to blog carnivals or any other article submission services. Any thoughts or ideas?

    create a short article on your brand new social bookmarking site. mention its cool features, and post that short article in some popular bookmarking and networking site. u can also publish a press release. you can also tell to your friends abt ur new site.
