Hi all, I have done (I think) creating a proxy listing website,ProxyRepo.com. Now what? How should I make it known by proxy contributors? This is the first time I have done a public website, so please be honest with me if you have an opinion regarding my website (please don't be harsh though ). I think I have $100 Google Ad Credits with my purchased web hosting. Should I use it now? Any thoughts and comments and suggestions are very very much welcome.
Hi Well from what i have seen the site is pretty new so what you have to do now is start promoting it and build some quality backlinks. This means directory submission, asking for reviews, blog commenting, article spinning if applicable, forum posting and so on... Build some quality backlinks, optimize the meta tags and content for the keywords your site is targetting and give it some time to get indexed in search engines. As for the Google credits i think you should wait a while till you use it. Ps: take off the advertising or cut if back a little before the site gets some popularity first....you have more adds then content at the time being..not good
Comment appreciated! I have hidden the ads in the body content for the meantime. I'll start looking for appropriate blogs and forums. Would it make my proxy list more appealing to proxy contributors if it has already many proxy links? If so, do you have an idea if it is ok if I copy some of the proxy links from other proxy listings until I got,say, a hundred proxy links?
Glad i could help...as to your questions 1 - yes it's always easier to get users to do anything if they see many people have done it before 2 - not without permission but just drop an email to the webmasters of those sites...who knows maybe they'll be willing to share them with you
