How should i improve backlinks for software development site

    Try doing a seacrh on google... Don't think the link request are going to come to you if you have a new PR0 site ;)

    Get your site listed in a few directories first if you haven't done that.

    Don't put your site in any directory. Try to focus on the relevant one like computer or IT directories.

    Agree, except for the few well established trusted general directories like botw, yahoo, etc if you are willing to spend the money. :)

    Beside submitting in other quality free and paid directories, You can start your own thread there or can ask others for link exchange, as your site is having PR0 at the moment, you can offer them back link on home page of your site and in return, they will like to place your link on some PR4 or PR5 page.
