Ok I have a large content section. The section is broken up into the alphabet for it to go alphabetized. Should my page descriptions for each letter index page all say the same thing? or should they talk about a few of whats located in the letter "A" for instance. e.g. Here is a top 20 list of computer items you can get for under 20$ or Or here is a top 20 list of computer items you can get for under 20$ that begin with the letter "A". or Or here is a top 20 list of computer items you can get for under 20$ that begin with the letter "A". Some Are XXX XXX XXX XXX. Thanks! -Tim
The third one is definitely better. Getting different content/meta description will avoid getting your pages being filter as suplemental by google.
i think second option is better and in my opinion, using meta desc. between 60-100 characters is giving better serp results
I think the first one is to short and the second one is to long, so the second would be the optimal result for you.
I would leave out "that begin with the letter A" because four of them are junk words (that, with, the, A) and the other two (begin, letter) are unrelated to computers. Its full of noise and dilutes your keywords. Include keywords of items under the letter A as thats what people will be searching for.
