when submitting links to link directories. Should i use different headings everytime or focus on the one title for keyword dominance. Also if i only have 200 backlinks all for videos, would i rank higher than a site with 1000 backlinks and only 1 directory link for "videos". ??
say you submit to 500 or so directories. You should try to use atleast 2-3 different titles. This will give you best exposure and wat not. See my sig (splur submissions) as we offer a perfect submission for you allowing 3 titles for 500 submisions...
Your goal should be to have as much links as possible, using a few phrases as your anchor text, dir' submiting is good, but you can also buy links on related sites, publish articles, social bookmarking, good "on page" SEO and have fresh content on your site all the time.
it's stil all depend on the PR of those links. the reason to change to title is for Keywords variety and make it look not like spamming links for search engines. anyway it's still quality over quantity, make sure you always got a high PR backlinks pointto your site and sure you will get a better SERP.
It is better to use your targeted keyword as an anchor text. But, sometimes, the site where you placed your link may rank higher than your site.
