    Yes Google only wants quality if you provide the quality to your website then it will be in the top. so always do the qualitative work in the on page and off page. you should get back link from Google bookmarks.

    For google backlinks you have to be concentrate in your off-page work. Check the directory site before submit your site. Number of ads they are showing, links quality, category should be relevant, also check domain name. These are steps you have to follow.

    A large number of back links to your page is not that important anymore. You have to focus on quality of that back link, to come from a site which is closely related to your content. Your back links should come from sites with good reputation, otherwise you will be penalized by the big G.

    Honestly speaking, off page SEO strategies is less important than on page SEO. Google now gives more value to a site with quality content rather than site with large quantity back links. More over, collect more backlinks are not only tedious and boring but also can make your site de-index once you overdo it.
