    Hi,

I am about to get myslf verified on PP and my concen is that since they'll require the CVV also... they will get complete control of myCC and can charge me for anything that they wish to ... ? like some dubious transactions... wil these details (CVV + cc no) be visible for some hacker on my act info? Do they confirm with the owner before charging the CC ... any bad experiences?

Nopes nothing will be visible to a hacker. :)

Even you can't see the full 16 digits of your cards on your PayPal. :) Only 4 digits are being shown. :p
So, you can assume its safe.

Well my friend, You can do something about paranoia of mis-use of your CC either by a Hacker or by Paypal themselves. Just apply for standing instruction to your bankers that all CC transactions need to be varified via mobile banking or SMS from your mobile.
So, even if some one charges ur CC, without your knowledge, the Money or transaction will not occur from your banker's side till they recieve go ahead from you.

I don't know if all banks offer / advertise such services, but 4 years ago, I was using this facility from (ICICI Bank) as second line of defense against CC frauds.

May be other members can provide further details, if such facility still exists.

Dont use Prepaid CC. I had my A/c limited because of that. Also The Customer Care told me directly that Virtual CC or Prepaid CC are not supported.

Well I have no problem with vcc and using that for past 1 year EXCEPT when you do large payments. I do business with small payments like 50-60 $ per deal so no problem with me :)

Paypal is not known to charge your CC directly without your specific instructions. They might do so, only in extreme circumstances when your paypal account has very large outstanding and you fail to clear it, in spite of repeated reminders!
