How safe are our blogs on Blogger.com?

I have heard stories where entire blogs have vanished over night. But I have seen several successful blogs with huge traffic still hosted on blogger. What is your view on this?

 

Nothing happened to my blog hosted on the blogger so far

 

Google will not delete your blog until you obey their terms and conditions. Blogger blogs are as safe as that of blogs that are paid hosted.

 

Most people's blogs who has gotten removed is usually because they posted mp3s or music on their blog and got a complaint from the labels themselves.

 

Google will remove any blogs that contain copyrighted materials or are deemed offensive. If you are not publishing questionable content, you have nothing to worry about.

 

I've never had a problem and think that as long as you are on the up and up - there is nothing to worry about.

I do not facing any problem with blogger host.
If you do worry about it, you can get another hosting, that's all

 

I don't think that Google will wipe any blog while its not breaking the rules.

 

I have had mine for quite a while and never had a problem. The problem comes when you fail to obey the terms of service or you use pirated or copyrighted material. As long as you read and follow all their terms, they are very safe.

Well like you i have seen many blogs got removed. But all removed because they hosted the mp3 or hosting the sopcast links for live matches.

 

Yes, hosting one's blog on blogger involves some risk.

But mostly blogs with adult and illegal contents are wiped off. This is what I have come to know till now.

 

I have blog at blogger and never had any problems.

 

Follow the rules and get a super cool blog with special google optimization, and best of all 99.9 % uptime, your blog never runs slow nor does it ever have server loads! But when you stop following the rules then you have a problem!! Google kicks you out!!

 

I used to have a football videos blogger site that has over 5k uniques a day : ))

And it DID VANISH overnight!

and oh yah, the videos i posted on my site are all found on YOUTUBE!

So, it is NEVER 100% Safe to be on blogger. Just spend a little money, get your own domain & server. Much better in the LONG RUN anyway.

 

my Internet 2010 blog is on blogger quite long time, never had problem.

I think if you are not use it as blog-(spam)-network, everything should be fine

 

Not sure what are Google's procedure in deleting blog, but nothing is safer than hosting in your own server.
