Hello, recently i just launch my new website www.directtoindia.com and i want to implement RSS on my site but i am very confuse that what is the benifit of RSS and how can i add it on my site and is any software or proggrame use for the same. i heard about feedburner.com what is it?? pls. help me out regarding the same i also request if some body have any article or post on RSS and releated pls. give me the link thanks in Advance
Rss is a good way of informating pple of changes on your database (hence ur site if it's set up that way) or any other fast changing info on your site. I am not sure if you are trying to use it to put other people's content on your site, or if you are trying to give your content to others so they display it on their. There's a big difference. I have used advanced RSS TICKER IN THE PAST. It is pretty cool with ajax and allows you to display rss content in a "ticking fashion". The download location is http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/rsstickerajax/rsstickerajax.zip Follow the instructions. Hope this helps.
