I don't think this has been posted here. http://www.globalrichlist.com/ It's an interesting take on what is normally such a dreary subject.
Makes me thankful to be living in a fairly free capitalistic society. I could be rich by world standards with a bicycle and a neighborhood newspaper route.
I have 600$ each month in social security and thought I was rich but.. You are in the top 61.16% richest people in the world. There are 2,330,250,000 people poorer than you. I need to get a job
Bastards I want to know my exact position..Though I am glad that since I am so poor, they are not asking any money to donate.
Being rich is a state of mind more than anything. To me it is like beauty. It is in the eyes of the beholder. Exactly how much money do you have to make to be considered rich? I always like to think that even if you have a billion bucks, you can't buy a Hubble Space telescope, so your riches are limited.
i think that site is bull.... "You are in the top 0,001% richest people in the world. You don¹t need to know any more than that (and besides our calculator can't do sums that big). " All it asks for is salary.... nothing to do with debt =P
It's a little misleading because it doesn't factor in where you live. Wages where I live are a lot higher than most places, but it's all relative. You need an income of $120,000 just to qualify to buy a median priced home, and it that's just a fairly average US residence with an average size lot. Housing prices are out of control and even a small one-bedroom apartment runs about $1,000 a month and up.
In society today money is freedom. hTe more money the more free. You can be a moron but if you have lots of money people will take you more seriously and you gave special privilages...(OJ comes to mind) Its not just the fact ou can buy stuff but that you 'made it' in life. Millions of people strive to be rich in the US but few make it.
Is it just me or does fryman never really have anything good to say. What's the definition of sourpuss? ^^^
Yeah, but it is totally unfair that they take the entrie world population into account. A large part of the populaion is children, old people and other people without any income. Also it is unfair to take people in Asia, Africa and America into account when I live in Europe. Ofcouce I have a higher income than a daydrifter in the Mexico or a rice farmer in India. This test is just total bulls**t. I would not give a dollar to this organisation, even a low income job in the US (e.g. a high school teacher) would get you in the top ten percent.
its just a fun otherwise you can't compare a Person from North America with some one in sub continent.
