How reliable is Micro niche finder SOC feature?

I just acquired Micro niche finder and I am wonder how reliable is the SOC feature to determine competition on a keyword?

 

I would not call SOC reliable but more of an indicator. You really need to look at other factors like your competition and their back links and PR before diving into a niche and creating a site. I like MNF but use SEOspyglass and Market Samurai to check out those other factors.

 

I have market samurai. So I just wanted the know about this SOC feature since seems to be a secret formula of MFN.
