how Ram has been used?

    I have 512mb of ram and i have this pc of trial base (if i will like i will purchase this pc) but when i chech system information it shows that i have only 265mb left. what does it means?

    Is it mean that soon i will need new ram :confused:

    IS that a single chip or two chips of 256 MB each, instead of system info, how much does BIOS show? It could be possible that one of the chips is bad ...

    today its showing total physical memory: 512 mb and available physical memory: 196.45 mb in system information

    what does it mean?

    The available physical memory refers to memory not currently in use, not the maximum amount of memory you have. It would appear that you are using approximately 315MB on your computer right now.

    i think you dont have the graphic card and computer will spare some RAM for that. also Windows will occupied some RAM since the computer start so that's about right amount of RAM that has left.
