I have been running the ads for a week now, with no change in reported backlinks. Site has a 50,000+ weight so I thought I'd see somethign by now? jema
I have been using the tool here: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/ which seems to show no changes. jema
it wont show changes for a while. that tool only checks Google's public vision of backlinks. try link:http://www.domain.com at http://beta.search.msn.com and you should see a jump. Google updates, but just doesn't update what they show us. HTH
Now I'm confused: http://beta.search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=link:www.marsjupiter.com&first=101&count=10&FORM=PERE5 shows 10,400 links which it totally at odds with the mere 35 I see fron the onsite tool. Just what is being measured? jema
Hi there this msn beta backlink search is actually really useful as i was using digitalpoints tool but didn't know it was only google it checked! would msn beta be therefore more accurate?
10K back links is great! Think about it. If you had a site that actually had 10K+ other sites linking to you, I'd think you are pretty popular. If you want a comparison, check other domains with the beta.search.msn.com Check your competitors and see what they got. ie. link:http://www.buy.com has 19K so you are half as good as buy.com. .. well in quantity.
Shawn's tool is to check stats for google: backlinks, pr, and indexed pages. MSN is a totally different se and I am not sure if it even has an api which make the tool possible.
