How quickly can you get indexed in Google?

The title pretty much says it all - I can get a newly created page (blog or whatever) indexed in Google within 6 hours of first publishing it pretty much every time. But I know some of you have tricks that can get new pages indexed within an hour...or less.

If anyone could share tips that help accomplish this I would appreciate it greatly. It's not like I'll be competing with you for keyword rankings ;)

    Thanks in advance!

Honestly, why would you care? Getting something indexed in 1 hour or 6 hours is just as good. You're not going to rank any better by getting ranked faster. Theres a huge difference between being indexed, and actually ranking for something. Rather than waste time trying to shave an hour or two off the indexing time, use the time to write content or do some other valuable thing!

    1) Submit your sitemap.xml in your google webmaster account
    2) Use Fresh and quality content, search engines are always eager for fresh and quality content
    3) submit your site in Social bookmarking sites
    4) Use site with signature link in high traffic Forums like DP, sitepoint etc..
    5) point your link in your high traffic blogs or make a blog in high traffic sites like livejournal.

simply follow the rules of search engines or some sites and you will get better results in search engines.

Different people have different experience. As some folks mentioned it took them less then an hour; whereas some people have to wait days.

I know all about the Digg trick, but I remember reading on DP before about guys getting indexed in less than an hour using a particular method...but I can't remember it anymore.

Oh...and you don't need to say "it doesn't matter" because obviously it does to me...there are niches in which getting ranked quickly can be incredibly profitable.

I pretty much get indexed immediately on my blog, but that's probably due to strong interlinking and immediate social bookmarking submission + pinging.

Don't forget that Craigslist is HUGE! .... Example: San Francisco Bay Area Has PR 8.. Simply post a few ads with your link in them and you'll get indexed very fast. Don't forget Seattle, WA ... Portland, OR ... Sacramento, CA etc. You get the point!
You can use this method in conjunction with Digg. ...and you'll be in business pretty fast. Also try: Backpage - Phoenix, AZ.

Signatures from DP posts get things indexed pretty quickly. DP is frighteningly good at getting their pages indexed. Last thread I started here was indexed within the hour. I'm interested to read the technique you've forgotten though, hope someone digs it up!
