Im just wondering because I have a niche 4000 searches a day and the competition is minimal. I plan to monetize with adsense. So what is the best way to do this and can I use even blogspot ?

The best and fastest way to get listed on google is to have quality links to your site.

You can create a blog on blogspot or on wordpress itself and point back to your site (or they themselves can be the place you offer the information). If you host it on wordpress though you can't add adsense (you can on blogspot).

It takes 2 days for main page and 3 to 5 before some other pages get picked up.

From my experience, this is the best way to get indexed in Google fast.

    1) Buy a hosting package
    2) Setup WordPress on your host
    3) Install Sitemap plugin for WordPress (very important)
    4) Submit your sitemap to Google

After submission it took only 2-4 days for Google to index my blogs. And after that every 4-5 days they access my sitemap and update Google index.

From my personal experience, this is the most successful way to get on Google. Once you are in it, your position in SERP depends solely on your content quality. But this method will ensure you are in Google. And once you are in Google, you will be picked up by other search engines too.

I've heard (this may not be the case anymore) that if you get a link on a pr 5 site, you should be listed in google within 48hrs.

Otherwise, give it a week or two, sometimes it varies. The blogs I put up take me about an hour or two each to put up, customize a template, find some good RSS feeds, and fill it with posts.

If it's a blog or any site with an RSS or XML feed then simply add it to My Yahoo! and Google Homepage or Reader and the bots have no choice but to come find you!

That's actually a really good idea, I'll have to test that out, see how long a brand new blog takes to get listed.

Maybe if you had a few friends add your feed as well google would take notice quicker?
