QR codes........................................ the future.................... a year ago people wondered whether they would be a fad? Not now........ today a lot of the top companiies are now employing the QR code technique.... though I hasten to add not all are doing it correctly as a QR code is for the people using a scanner on their "smartphone" and then these TOP companies send them to a web page that is not optimised for a mobile device, so I hate to think how much money they have wasted!!!!!. But overall I think they are a great tool for marketeers on and offline and for sure I may have to eat my hat....... but I only think they will become more mainstream as more people begin to understand what the funny black square is!! Would you not agree??
QR-codes can be used very smartly, if its well thought through. I personally believe that it's all about making it easier for the user, but if the user does not know how to use them its all the same. Check out wtfqrcodes.com for how NOT to use them.
QR code is only way to get offline traffic turn into online traffic and we able to use QR code to track the result and effect of the offline campaign
QR codes along with NFC is a great combination to use. The problem with QR is that the majority of people dont know what they are. Do this experiment, ask your friends and family if they know what a QR code is and what they are for. Most will say Oh I've seen them but what are they for? I will still use them as they are cheap to produce, can be reprogrammed easily, have user tracking stats and can draw in more customers. NFC is however the lazy mans way to connect and we all know modern technology is making people lazier by the minute. Just having to open a phone, launch a scanning app and then scan a QR code is too much effort for a lot of people. I say don't limit yourself and be diverse with what you use.
