I am thinking about including the best of them to my affiliate directory, but since I have no personal experience with this niche I would like to hear your feedback about these affiliate programs. 1. Is there more scams in this niche comparing with other niches? 2. How much do you earn with them? 3. Is it possible to build up residual income with them? Thanks for your opinions!
Not at all... Most of these hosts earn revenue through advertisements, and to a lesser degree, premium accounts. It can take some time to build up an uploading host - a reputable one at that - and being that some webmasters are unaware of that or don't take it into consideration, they may implement certain methods to circumvent users from profiting (shaving downloads, rates, or scrapping the host altogether), therefore there are quite a few who do end up being scams. The amount you earn can vary on your activity, the reliability of the host, and any limitations of the host (ex. download rates/limits). It is possible to earn residual income, as once you've spread the files you've uploaded they will usually remain active and become downloaded, although again, the amount can vary.
