How people still believe in those MLM networks?

A friend of mine yesterday invited me to join Quixstar. I did not really know much about Quixstar except that it is Amway group.

What surprises me is how people believe they can make money in MLM networks. I have met so many people who claim to have earned thousands of dollars in MLM networks but they are very few compared to the people who lost money.

Am I wrong in deciding not to join Quixstar? Are people really making money in MLM networks?

Well, one thing that I learnt about MLM is that you have to find people to be under you. Some require 4,5 or less or more based and your commission will be based on that (not just by selling product)

People believe just about anything that promises them a good return of investment. It's going to hurt them in the end though... Lesson well learned, I hope.

Some people do make a lot of money in MLM...but they have to spend all of their time (and I really mean 16 - 18 hours a day) talking about their sales "oportunity" to absolutely everyone they meet.

You have to like spending your time (and your life) that way.

It's a hard sell. Most people don't want to buy into it. So you have to "work the numbers" and just keep talking to as many people as you can (unless you have a huge family and network of friends who are willing to follow you).

I tried Amway a long time ago. I hated it. And my friends got tired of me always trying to sell them something. I was very happy the day I quit!

I haven't tried any online MLM programs yet. But I have joined an offline MLM program selling herbal products and I have managed to recruit 3 downlines before I decided to call it quits.

Yup I have joined one. It was introduced to me by a friend and it is called Forever Living, selling herbal products like aloe vera drinks so I guess it is pretty much the same as Amway.
