I did not make any money from twitter by posting affiliate links there ... The problem is there are too many people doing so ... So it is not easy to make any aff. sales on twitter. However, you can gain traffic to your website if it is stated in your bio .... So if you are selling aff products on your website this might be the better way than posting aff. links on twitter .... Because if your tweets are considered SPAM your account might be suspended

 

I think I read about the same guy. It may have to do with numbers. Anything in the sales game that is not targeted is subject to 2% law of cold calls. So if you have a small number, under 10K, you may not be at critical mass. It would be interesting to see if anyone who has 20K+ followers gets sales at the same rate as your example.

 

Yes, I have started on twitter too, and try to find a big follower. Perhaps it will turn back into increasing my site that tweeted on twitter.

 

I suspect that no one really knows what to do with Twitter yet, though Perry Belcher at least looks like he does. But then, it's still the same old techniques: give something away before you think about selling. Oh, well...

 

Sadly that sums up my impressions of Twitter too.
Everybody is chasing everyone else around TwitterSphere
trying to sell each other the same old affiliate nonsense.
Its quite sad to see all that effort going to waste.

Affiliate marketing is one of the best usage of twitter/facebook. If you are good at marketing, choose this idea otherwise create twitter ids, get few thousand followers and sell them.
