I was wondering if you have to be 18+ to sign up for Paypal. If yes, then would I be able to do business using one of my parents' accounts to receive money? I would let them know and get their permission first, of course! I'm only 14 so I would really like to know if it is legal or not for me to create my own account, or for me to also use someone else's.
Is it possible to have Paypal for people under 18 Your parents / legal guardian / sibling could sign up for it, but Paypal Account Sharing with relatives .. hows it comes to mind.
You can have an account and as long as it doesnt get limited you shouldnt really have a problem. After you turnover $5,00 they will ask for verification on your account by asking you fax in a scanned copy of your dl/passport. If you are planning on making money with this account use your parents.
As noted, you can get a PayPal account pretty easy, however, if PayPal finds out, your account can be suspended / terminated. Usually what will happen, little Johnny will be reported to PayPal as possibly being underage. PayPal will suspend the account and ask him to send in documentation he is at least 18 years of age. When he does not - his PayPal account will be frozen. And then he gets upset and tells PayPal that Jane is underage as well.
I'm with corey.. thery don't know who you or how old you are until you get caught.. then your in big trouble.
as long as you have a working debit/credit card to verified your paypal, then there's no problem. I was 15 when I have my paypal account.
From a legal stand point, NO! Anyone under the age of 18 may not register for a paypal account as stated in there T.O.S. Many people say that you can just don't get caught, this is just scamming. Just because you don't get caught doesn't make it right and legal. You will soon realize that it is more worth it to have your parents register you an account until you turn 18 because if your account gets limited then you will never get your money out. Remember always 1 thing, the legal way is always the safe way to play.
Well, it is depends on yourself to take the risk. If you have more money to invest to get new paypal account (from VCC), then it is no problem.
hello julia, you just open an paypal account in your parents name. make sure the details of the address and names you give in the paypal match your parents bank account. wishes to you to earn more money. have a great day
Since when do you need to invest money to have a bank account? Paypal is just an online bank. I have had 1 of my paypal accounts now for 7 years since 2002 and the other for 5 since 2004 and they are both verified and both legal in my information. I have been able to keep them for this long without troubles because I followed the rules!
if your parents are weird about the internet like many and wont let you have their credit card info you can always can a what they virtual credit card (VCC) and register it with that, that should lift your spending limit to $9k (with premier), but if you're planning on making a lot of money than your parents is good but if you're just going to buy a few things here and there then you can do either
I'm around 14.. but i have my paypal verified.. any chance that i can get to trouble as long as i dont scam, etc?
I had my paypal since I was 12.... Verified with bank..no cc....=) A bit of reputation (paypal) never scammed before..seem to not have a problem with paypal.
It's possible, but you must have a bank account and credit or debit card (VISA or Master Card) for verification! It's possible but not in all world(in Europe with 15 years)!
