10 months and running slower than ever!

When will they get the PC to just run fast all the time and dump the garbage that slows it down? Oh, we would have to dump Windows then?

Just enter msconfig in the run box and then go to the last tab. You can then stop all the stuff you dont need to load up like Quicktime, webcams and other junk when booting. Emptying this for me except the essentials helps keep my computer running at a nice speed.

WINDOWS - "Do less with more"

there's one guy on here...re-formats every few months just so he can have a decent speed factor. He keeps a baseline image of his drive so it's quick and easy to start fresh. This man has it figured out!!!

"up time" to me means how long since the PC was rebooted! That would be insane if that was the case!!

The longest I've gone without a reboot is about a week. It's kinda like wearing the same underpants everyday.

Mine is close to three years old. It runs just as well today as when it was installed. It had slowed down for a short period of time last month, but careful uninstalling of non-essential programs and fully uninstalling some important bits before upgrading them solved the problem. Periodic defragging of the hard drives also helps. Not using my machine for games also helps.
