    My Computer is about 2 years old core'2 duo and I'm all satisfied because I always upgrade it with latest peripherals and software!
    Control with Microsoft antivirus. Not any problem, so no need to change it.

    my pc is 7 years old now , and i have replaced it with laptop 2 months ago . it still works very good and can do good job now also but i was looking for a compact solution and hence got a good laptop . i hope this also serves me long enough

    Some parts in my desktop are around 2-3 years old while some are as new as a few months old. I have a netbook which is two years old as well.

    2 GeForce 8800 GTS
    2 LG E24424 s4" LCD monitors

    Runs Lubuntu 12.10 like a Boss

    My Computer is 3 years old but still my computer runs smoothly. I have intel core 2 duo 2.93 Ghz processor, 4GB DDR3 ram, 320 GB Hard disk, AMD 5460 HD Graphics card.

    wow that is a dinosaur. i thought my computer was old lol. i have no idea how you can even run most of today's applications on that thing. do you surf on sites like youtube?

    i have that system there for the kids to play with (pinball.etc)
    i dont use that lol, that cant even open and internet apps cuz it have a dial-up connection lol no lan port lol

    So you are using kids system.
    Which OS you use? I doubt any OS will run with that system.
    But have keen interest to know the OS.

    I have two laptops.
    1st one is 5 years old and 2nd one is 1 year 8 months old.
    1st: Dual Core, 1GB RAM, 120GB harddisk
    2nd: Core i3, 4GB RAM, 500GB harddisk
