    3 years and still going good coz i maintain it like cleaning the unit and software maintenance software that is available on the internet which helps a lot to keep my computer going strong in the long run

    My computer is about 5 years old.
    I have a dual core 3.0 Ghz with 2Gb of ram. It works well enough.
    Might upgrade the ram soon. Fortunately my board supports a processor upgrade as well.
    So maybe Santa will ne good to me this year

    I'm right now having ACER Aspire 5738 Laptop which is 4+ years old. And it is absolutely performing like a new one. So, no thought of purchasing a new one.
