i am 18 right now and still live with my parents but i so wanna move out!, i gotta start collectin, stop smokin lol, etc.
there's no excuse for living with your parents after you hit 30... if you haven't got enough cash at that stage to at least share rent in an apartment, you are a bum and should go live on the street where you belong
I would say as long as you're still in school (barring the strange 30 yr old who still is trucking along)... More realistically you should be out by 23-24 imo... I only visit my parents every so often on the weekend.. Been out since 18.
Just no? You're quite unrealistic, SEOdan. If it works for them to live with their parents and they aren't complete bums, who cares?
I think personally SEOdan thats a rather bleek view on life, not everyone can afford to on crud jobs, sure many of us who are still living at home would like to go and get our own place, but for some it would also kill any hopes they have to make a living from the internet..
geesj .. thats a big gap . save some money for travelling and I am sure they will be vey happy to see you . Hopefully , you do communicate with them via phone / IM ( vid )
Noone loves us truely except our parents - Just my opinion., I know of a girl who had a kidney failure (both kidneys), and noone helped her except her dad who donated one of his kidney
House prices in the UK are just insane at the moment, so there are a lot of people in their early 30s who still can't afford a mortgage. But that's not really an excuse that washes for very long. After a while you have to manage your own affairs, even if it means renting a tiny place, sharing with idiots, or doing without luxuries. I would have more respect for a guy who lives alone and has no car, than for someone with a nice car but who lets his mum do his washing for him.
SEOLinker i stay in a rented appartmen in a nother city with 3 of my friends I guess i could stay alone becouse i aford it at what i make but i don't whant to is more fun and less expensive this way when i will have a serious relationship i will move with her or probably by my own place (maybe in 2-3 years my own house)
I think parents are very important part of life, how can anyone think to be apart from them?I pray for their long life.
If you have a girlfriend or a boyfriend and your over 21, you should get your own place. But all circumstances are different. I have noticed that the age you move out at depends a lot on where you live. Like someone said in London people are tending to live with their parents longer because of housing costs. It definitely seems the same in California! Houses and apartments are so expensive out there. I can only think of 2 or 3 of my friends in California that have their own apartments. Most of my other friends ages 18-22 still live at home. And it doesn't seem like they plan to move out any time soon. However, my friends in Las Vegas, where housing is much cheaper (or was much cheaper until last year) have their own apartments. Also I think it really depends on your family. If your parents are cool as fuck and they have a big house, is it really necessary to move out and pay $500-$1500 a month for an apartment? I know this is a weird example....but look at Bam Margera from Viva La Bam. He's like 26+ or something like that now and seems to actually like living with his parents. Why? Because they're cool.
26 is too old for me. By that time, you should be finished post secondary education, have a job, and be looking towards having a family.
