How often you use Google Blog Search?

I am wondering how often people use google blog search and I have started a poll for it. I am thinking about how important is google blog search. I have used it less than once per month.

How about you?

 

I use it quite a lot. One of my blogs is a stickied result (if that's the right term) and I keep an eye on it to make sure I don't loose it! If there's a fast breaking news story blogsearch is a great way of finding the latest comment.

 

i never use the blog search. i allways prefer default web site search

 

Never really seen a need to search only blogs... If I am looking for information then I don't mind whether it comes from a blog or a normal site, so normal google search works just fine for me...

 

Never use it. Too much spammy blogspot blog

 

Hah, I forgot that service even excisted..

 

I forgot it existed to be honest.

 

I just use "Google Alerts" for certain keywords an phrases. It does the search for me.

I never had the need to use it. If I would like to narrow the search for blogs, I would append "blog" to the search query I guess.

 

I have alerts for it too, but not for phrases.

Most people don't realize this, but the link: command in Google Blogs Search is live, you don't have to wait for an export that happens 4-6 times a year. I mean, it only shows links from blogs (of course), but still very nice to see.

That's not even close to what it is for. It is a different set of results altogether. It's just like doing a Google news search, except you are searching blog sites instead of news ones. Completely different algo.

I started few months ago to use Google Blog but somehow I didn't like it and I never came back again on this site. I thought why I should use it when I have my own blog.

I use it regularly to see the positions of my blogs and do other research for my other websites.

In real I loved it

only 1-2 times in a week

 

This thread made me try google blogsearch, and I was surprised at how good it was. I searched for an arcane subject (theosophy) that usually just doesn't turn up anything interesting in blogsearch. This search did. I have to conclude that even in blogsearch google is just better then the rest.

I don't use it that often - but i get a lot of traffic from it
