How Often To Update My Site

Hi

I was wondering that if i update my site say every 6hrs will google penalise me for updating too much? or is there no limit on how much you can update?

3 times a day, that is my suggestion.

 

I would say around 3 times a day too. 3 times is the average number for doing anything.

 

Valuable update always helpful for the website so whenever you do make it relevant and effective.

 

there is no limit laid down by google regarding number of time you can update your site.

there is no such thing as too much or too little. I have a blog that I post 10/day and another blog 1 post per 3 month. No prob at all

Stop thinking about google to much. There is no such thing as too much or too little. Its your blog for you to use. If there are any difference between too much posting it would be the slightest.

 

keep adding one new page everyday, that's the way my site escaped from sandbox.

 

I don't believe you can be punished for how many times you update your website. Because GoogleBot, the google webcrawler decides on the value of your content and how frequently it should visit your site. The most frequent site visited is CNN/News Sites because they have valuable content every hour on the hour. As supposed to a newer site that gets visited/crawled once a month.

But updating every couple of days with quality content I would think would keep the search engines interested. Just don't forget to ping your new content.

There is no restriction on updating your website in a day or in an hour. Its even good that you are updating your website and search engines like the websites which are udpated.
