how often to update blog?

I update my blog once a week.

 

If possible, update everyday, especially in the first two months, before you get a PR.

 

update your blog daily. you will get more visitors then. try to stick on to most popular and hot topics in the selected area

 

some of the professional blogs, like treehugger.com, say they do no less than 30 posts a day.

 

I usually post as frequently as i have time.
You should post at least once a month if you're a busy man...

 

Once a week is what I'm able to manage. But my niche is social blogging, so I can't churn out things on a daily basis.

 

If you have one blog, then daily posts are possible.

 

I am trying to update my blog every 2 or 3 days, when I have time, I update my blog much often. Sometimes, I just pre-set some articles, and let the blog post it at a later time.

 

I am updating monthly twice some time weekly once .. in avg monthly 5 - 6 posts ..

 

Daily is best, but whatever you do, do it consistently. Both people and search engines like this.

For an older blog you can post more if you want, but making 5+ posts a day on a brand new blog looks a bit spammy.
