I have tested Google’s tool that allows you to submit your website several times and can tell you that using it is probably the worst thing you can do. The last time I tested it I had to wait six full weeks before Google including my site in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) and the site took more work than usual to rank. That doesn’t really ‘make sense’ and I’ll admit that but once you have started a few hundred sites you start to get a feel for how things should happen and that site did not act right for a while.

The Proper Way To ‘Submit’ A Website To Google

The best way to get your site into Google is by linking to it from a site that has decent PageRank.

No never and here's the reason why.

Google knows that they should be able to find legit sites by following links. If a truly great site is launched, someone will be linking to it from somewhere. If this doesn’t happen, Google probably assumes that the site is going to be of lesser quality. The best sites ALWAYS get linked to because people like them.

Sometimes it happens that for many days google doesn't crawls your new site in that case you need to add your url to google and i believe it should be done only once.

Better way to get indexed is to get some social bookmarkings for your site.

Get a free google webmaster tools account. Add your site to your webmaster tools account. Create a sitemap and enter the link to your sitemap in google webmaster tools. This helps google know that your site exists and you have a sitemap with all your links that google will then know about. Whether they decide to add them all or not is another story, but at least you have told them where to find them. Then after that get some backlinks(links back) to your site from other sites. More popular dofollow sites work well. Then google will come find you and add you. That is it, no need to submit or resubmit. Then just keep posting new content if you have a blog site, and or keep getting active backlinks when and where possible.

That's right, if you submit, just submit once.

You only need to submit once, you don't need to keep doing it, it will have no effect.

There is no need to submit to Google, it will find links to new pages and automatically spider them. If you are doing your job you should not have to submit to the search engines, they will get indexed through link building etc..

From my experience, submitting xml sitemap to Google increases Google performance - faster reaction to new pages and more pages crawled per day. You can easily check this using Google webmaster.

Submit only once! Aside from search engine submission, here are other ways that helps your site get index:

    1. Creating quality of inbound links
    2. Creating a sitemap - it helps your sub-pages get index.
    3. Ping your site.

I usually just submit them once. Unless you lose your rankings, there's no reason why you should submit it again.

If you are talking about sitemaps, mine gets auto submitted once I update my blogs..
    Thanks to the wordpress plugin.
But, if you are talking about indexing, I never did it. Mose search engines should auto pick up that if you have some backlinks.

i advise you just follow the guideline which provided by each search engine. While submitting you site on any search engine make it easy. don't try to spam on it.
