I heard somewhere that you should submit more than once. If so how often?

You don't need to submit to search engines and it is not needed to do it several times. They will find your site if you have links to it.

Fastest way into Google is by many and high quality backlinks.

If you are talking about submissions to search engines....then it is outdated thing. You really do not need to submit to search engines.

And if you are talking about directories...then you can re-submit after 3 months or so.

that's not nesscary. unless no one link to you at all.

it is not nesscary to submit your site as long as someone linked to you.

i always submit once for my new site..it won't hurt..

I think I know which company your talking about slip, if its a company offering 3 SEO plans I would stay away from them, the mere fact that they say that we re-submit your site every month says that they know nothing about proper SEO.

dont even need to submit to those big search engines anymore... just have a link in a busy website. you site will get indexed pretty fast... although it does not mean that all your pages will get indexed.

probably if you are interested in some unknown small search engine, you might need to submit the url to them.
