I've probably had this happen to me about 20 times. I would join somebody's email list for their free information or updates and they would bombard me with tons of information and solicitations! Does this method actually generate results or should you email them only when you have a legitimate offer? I was just watching a video by one of these people who says that sending frequent emails helps build a relationship with your subscribers. How can you build a relationship with me when you're just plain ANNOYING???!!!
Here's the rule of thumb: whenever you can provide them good quality content that solves their problems & makes themp happy - there are some people who mail me ONLY when they have good stuff, and I don't mind getting those posts 1-2 times per week. On the other hand... there are some mailing list where people say stuff like "I know making money online is difficult yadda yadda blah bla" - WHO CARES? I don't care if the list owner says that HE knows that earning bucks is difficult. Basically... that's patronizing + he is focusing in himself. Those emails make my click the unsubscribe button if I get 1-3 of those in a row. So... to conclude: make sure you provide something useful (or interesting or fun or something your audience likes), and then send the email. 1-2 per week is ok if you have really good stuff, once every 2 weeks is fine too. Less than 1 per month and I forget who you were Okay - maybe not, but this is somekind of rough guideline that I personally like GETTING mails.
I agree with that. If you have good information to share, then 1-2 times a week is fine in my eyes. I am on Travis BMM list and I open every email he sends out. He mails pretty often. However, if I am on a list and I get inundated with sales pitches I am gone.
I'd say a maximum of 2 in one week would be ok. I say that only because if i received that amount, i wouldn't mind. -- Phil
Two a week would not be bad if you were only signed up for one list. My girlfriend is signed up for several and is sometimes overwhelmed by the number of emails she gets... most of which only get sent out monthly. If all those monthly letters all started to arrive eight times a month, you can bet she's unsubscribe from most of them, or start clicking the spam filter. I'd say once a month with worthy content, maybe with a few links to other resources worth reading (like the other would be seven emails). Q
I would say about 1 maybe 2 times a week, but in saying that everybody is always saying that the MONEY IS IN THE LIST i know you must of heard that saying, so that's why they bomb your email inbox.
