If I make a new Blog and look to monetize with articles, how often should I add a new article to it? Thank you
Frequently. 3x's a day - 1 times a day - every other day. In other words - do whatever you want. As long as you are doing something regularly you will be fine. Most popular blogs (if you aren't writing the articles your's won't be) usually update once a day.
There are scripts out there that will post content onto your blog from other resources, this might be useful if you are unable to devote the time.

Go see how often they post each day and decide if that's a model you want to mimic.
It directly depends on your objectives. Relevance is key, as someone wrote above, is better to have 1 pillar article a week than 7 bad ones.
