How Often is it Better to Change a Laptop?

Hi to all here! I need your advice. How often is it necessary to change a laptop for a newer model? I prefer to change my laptop every two years because it becomes dated too soon. Is it optimal time for doing this?

prefer to concentrate on the performance.. well best time is 3 to 4 years to switch to new version of laptops. its all depend on your requirements. I am changing after 3 years. but now we can switch to 4 years time period.

I dont think so because if you are still satisfy with your laptop or desktop then you do not need to change it.

I think 2 to 2.5 years is a good period. As new technologies are coming every some years and prices are being less.

Change it when it no longer does what you need it to. I do plenty of work on my old EeePC 901. And even more work on a relatively vintage (single core) Athlon desktop. You don't even want to know what I've got in the store room :D

It's the end product that matters. A faster processor won't make your work any better.

Beware of tradesmen with new tools. :)

There is not such a period. It depends what are doing on it. What are using your laptop for?

Really, it depends. For a laptop you want to keep longer, you will probably want to get a good processor, maybe an intel i7. Also, you can keep a laptop until it stops working, just keep upgrading the parts, and your good!

when the warranty has expired. because after that if your laptop broken. you dont have a warranty to fix it. and if it's broken, you must spend more money to fix it before you sale it.

Can't think of a good reason why I should change my laptop if my current laptop can get all the work done. My daily job doesn't require a high specification laptop, so I just stick with it as long as possible.

If you don't play newest games or watch 1080p HD movies, then you don't need to change it. Just reinstall your operating system every year or so and you'll have a fresh new laptop ready for work :)

If your laptop wears out and shows various hardware errors, then yes you should change your laptop. But, if its ok and works fine, then why change it?
