How Often Google Ranks Your Site

Just a quick question. If you update your site with new content and maybe add more pages and submit an updated sitemap, how quickly will g send a bot to view your site? Also, after g has viewed your site and wants to move you up in the rankings, will this happen instantly. Is checking the date on the cached site from the serp the way to see the last time google visited your site?

It will send a bot usually pretty quickly. But it may take days, or even weeks before it changes anything in serps.

The best way to see when the last time Google visited your site is by checking your raw web logs. You'll be surprised to see that Google usually visits more frequently than you think they do.

In my opinion, the frequency with which g bot visits your sites increases if your site content changes fast. For instance, if you update your site content every 2 days, you'll see the cache in g changing approx every week depending on how sought after your content is. Your site must also be informative in content, keywords placed in title, description, content, bottom. Just don't abuse using them.

It all depends....most bot visit frequently updated sites every few days. Some sites maybe once a month. And once your page is crawled....the rankings will follow suit.

Your site will be cached and indexed by google but in the top SERP in a few days. But if you want in the top SERP you have to target for the keywords and act accordingly.
