How often does Yahoo Update?

Discussion in 'Yahoo' started by pstatus, Apr 19, 2005.

I have a few sites that i have changed the content on, and yahoo is still caching a page with a title i haven't been using for about 1 month.

    Anyone else notice this?

It seems like the Inktomi spider visits my sites often, but like i said... The old titles and content are cached from a month back.

HOW OFTEN TO THEY UPDATE ????

I see daily updates across the board. Just depends on your individual circumstances as to whether they decide to update yours as well.

my cache is old as well.
Ive added 2 subdomains over 30 days ago, and they still havent been listed by Yahoo. On the other hand, Google had a field day with them, multiple robots at once.
no complaints though, I like my yahoo ranking

I have seen updates that happen real quick and others that can take a month.

yeah well if yahoo is using the cached version of sites for the SERPS for my key terms... it's no wonder im not ranked high. As soon as it updates, im certain of a big move

All I know is I finally have a number one position for a fairly good search term on my new site. It only took about 6 months to get it.
