    Hey,

How often does your content get updated on google?

I have recently changed my site content however when i google search it, it still shows my old content, how long do you think it will be until it updates?

    thanks,

    Chris

leakngakak: yeah when we build sites or blogs with WP engine the indexing is done almost instant by SE's.

on other case if you want your site or blog built in standard way to be indexed , submit the specific web page or website to high pagerank social bookmarking sites. sitemap updating and adding a robot file to site or blog directory would speed up the process of indexing.

Worthwhile making the point that if you register for webmaster tools you can increase the spidering frequency on your site.

This can be increased or decreased at any time.

If you are worried that your new design has not been picked up it may be worth tweaking the crawl speed.

In practice I would carry on regardless and work on promoting the site - the more links you get the more the site will be spidered naturally.

    Cheers,

    BB

It depends on how often the content was updated in the past(months) and of course your rankings and incoming links.
Some of my home pages get re-indexed few hours after I add smth new or update partially the info on few sites; and others get reindexed every few days, on sites which I do not update so often.

That will depend on whether yours is an authority site. If the contents get updated regularly, the process should be very fast, sometimes the new changes will get crawled and indexed within few minutes.

It depends on how often they crawl your site. Probably atleast weekly. Submit a bunch of links and do social bookmarking then it will get crawled again faster.

They update it quite fast. I've never really bothered to check the time, but it is usually done in a few days.

search for your site with the site:www.yoursite.com command, the look at the cache date. Should be a least once every 3 weeks. (some sites get it every hour, if the traffic is high enough)

You should have a good pagerank so that googlebot will find you fast and try to submit your site
