how often does google update your backlinks in google webmaster tools?

my site's backlinks has not changed for 1 month, i wonder if which is normal.
and how often does google update your links in google webmaster tools?

In the past week there has been a backlink update. Matt Cutts (who works for Google) once said that the backlink update typically takes place every three months, give or take a little. It may take a while for you to build backlinks, in the mean while I suggest loging into to Google Webmaster tools to see your backlinks. Hope this helps!

 

jburdon14 is right. He offers the conventional wisdom. Still, google seems to rejig my back links about every 3 weeks or so, always on a Tuesday. Go figure. Good luck.

 

BL updation on webmaster tool is something confusing. its not at the time of google crawl nor at the time of google PR update

 

only Google can answer your question.. because backlink update always vary according to their whims and fancies..

Nobody really knows when they are updating their link.

 

I still havn't figured out webmaster tools, i have 8 sites with verified accounts there, and it seems every account has a different looking control panel for instance, if i click "what google sees" on one site, it shows me back links. on another site it shows me keywords ? one site seems to update weekly, another hasn't updated in over a month. all my links are always to http://mysite.com, but half only show when set my account to wwwmysite.com also, my links and info constantly dispapear from the results for months at a time, then return, the disapear again. more and more, i can't find a single reason to even bother logging into webmaster tools. the info seems to never be accurate or upto date. i have found this site in another post here, http://backlinkwatch.com and now use it for checking my back links

 

What I have seen is pr/backlinks not updating frequently still once a once, meta tag/description refresh and cache updates about once every 3 days.
Have just seen PR update/backlink update but PR in toolbar is still taking 2 months to be seen on some pages.

 

They update BL's for me about once a month, although G webmaster shows so few of them I don't find it very useful. Yahoo Site Explorer tends to give me a better idea about how I'm doing building links

I have noticed that when Google hits my site I see http://whois.domaintools.com/ as the url in my tracking software. I see this url about every 2 weeks.

Got me but the google Webmaster tools are always off for me. I use it more as a guide then real time information. I go to other sources that are much more reliable.

 

I suggest loging into to Google Webmaster tools to see your backlinks.

 

Once backlinks are not updating there will be 2 reasons. Either Google is updating backlinks or there is a problem in your site so you must go to Google webmaster tools.

 

the backlinks also need three months to be updated then that's really related to the page rank since the page rank also updated three month's time.

 

I suppose the backlinks will get updated on a continuous basis.
Have you submitted sitemap? Just check the crawl date on it.

 

i think Google does it side by side regularly.
