Absolute garbage. That's not true at all. Also absolute garbage. That page is just an obsessive-compulsive list of numerous previous updates. Google updates public PR when it feels like updating public PR, not a moment sooner, not a moment later. Anything else is just flipping a coin or taking a wild guess. No. No. Possibly correct.
Why do you think so? Do you have any facts? Didn't you observe the Toolbar PR Update in February 2006? I had an update on 20-th of Feb. Anyone else? What are your observations?

1) Every 5 minutes?? 1a) I mean all together in some period of time OR only, for example, very active websites? 1b) What is webmasters BMI?
Will you people please stop posting this nonsense? Google public PR updates when it feels like updating it. Generally, that averages out to 3 or 4 times per year. That's it. No more. The next public PR update will be when it is. Anything else anyone has to say on the matter is a waste of space.
It was a joke, i'm guessing you don't know what BMI means? (Body Mass Index) http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1B2GGGL_enUS176&q=define:BMI
Since Sept. 2005 any sites/pages with PR have not been updated. I can't say this is for 100% of all sites and/or pages, but if not then almost 100%. There have been 2 TBPR updates since Sept. that have only affected new sites and/or pages which makes them incomplete. The April update saw ridiculous PR going to new sites, in some cases 1 month old sites with no BLs went to PR8 and many to PR5. As for the next update; no one knows.
With how often Google screws up its updates, I am not sure if Im looking forward to another one. Be careful what you wish for, it could be another Jagger.
I know there is a PR update around the corner. I really want to know if the PR will pass/record before this next update... We just pointed a few PR 6 links to a brand new site.... my question is how fast will PR pass from the links.... is there a certain number of crawls of the page where the links are located?
That's not true. It's not even close to true. I have sites that didn't exist in September 2005 that have had PR updates. I have sites that did exist with PR in September 2005 that have shown changes in PR more than once (for example, one went from PR4 to PR5 to PR6 in that time).
I think that's an exception then, I have followed many sites, mine and others and none (not one) had a PR change since the Sept. update if they had PR. My main site was PR4 in Sept., The home page is still PR4, old inner pages are PR3, but all inner pages that are newer and had no PR went to PR5.
His example is not an exception. All of my sites that had new pages added prior to the PR update this past spring saw those new pages gain PR. I also so PR increase on lower PR pages. The reason some people may not have noticed a PR increase the last go around is because their PR did not increase. PR doesn't just grow unchecked or we would all have a PR 10. Each webpage of each website will reach a plateau where the PR levels out and remains constant. This is so true for my sites that I can predict the eventual PR of a new page I add based on how it will be internally linked by my sites. I have some pages that have not changed their PR in years because they reached a plateau that they can not seem to climb above.
sGroup, there's really no way to tell. It depends entirely on when you got the links and when the next update falls. There's a time difference between the snapshot that Google uses to calculate the PR and the actual update, but no one knows for sure how wide that difference is. Also, when you said you pointed them there, did you buy them? It appears that for many sites that are known for selling tla's, they no longer pass the PR that you would expect them to. Just so you know. -Michael
I seriously doubt that anyone who asks how long PR takes to pass is asking about anything other than visible PR. Especially someone who in the same post said "I know there is a PR update around the corner"... so no, taken in context, you're wrong minstrel. -Michael
Minstrel stop trying to explain everyone how PR updates area really happening.. They already made up their minds .. Just say it once and that's all.
