How often does Google index new sites?

I launched a new site at the end of May. I signed up for Google Webmaster tools and it says they last indexed my site on June 4th. Since then I've uploaded a robots.txt and xml sitemap. When will the bot come back to index the rest of the site?

There is no fixed time frame for this to happen. It can be within few hours, few days, or few weeks. It all depends on your efforts. :)

yes, there is no fix time frame.. it depends on your site contents and how frequently you are updating it. Add more unique contents to your site which helps you to index your site in Google.

Adding a sitemap and submitting to Google is a good way to speed things up and adding adverts also seems to help.

If you want to get indexed ore often, get more backlinks. If you don't have many backlinks, Google won't visit so often.

If you want your new site to get indexed quickly just add your site to Signature in DP

It will get indexed quickly or post the url in review section for reviews..

Freewebspace, thanks for the advice on the signature. I haven't reached 7 days or 10 posts yet, so links in signatures are not active yet.

priyakochin, is there a rule about submitting your own post to digg and other social bookmarking sites? If not, i'll try it.
