How often does google crawl ?

    DP Friends,
    I need a serious reply
    One of my website purchased old domain from godaddy auction, I saw that google crawled on 8th sep 09 and till now its 9 days it hasn't crawled my website ?

    Can anyone please explain why is it happening
    I can't share the website here (Sorry)

    But please let me know it is normal tendency of google ?
    Please help me to get rid of this

    It's hard to say, because some sites are crawled more than others. Sites like Digg you can see results almost instantly, but others it could be weeks.

    That depends on number of pages, how often content changes, number of visitors and other possible factors. For some of my sites its usually every two weeks.

    From what I have seen - google crawls most sites all the time looking for new content. But it does a deep crawl about every 2 weeks.

    Also, do not wait for google to crawl your site, create a google webmaster tools and get a sitemap submitted.

    It can depend on all those factors and more. I would say the number of times you update content and the freshness of links to your website. The higher up the serps you get probably the more you are crawled.

    It varies the crawl rate depending on the site, like the other guy said. The more often your site is updated the more often it gets crawled.
