How Often do you scan your PC

In my pc, I am using Avast, but so far never scanned my PC. Whenever any virus comes to my computer. It automatically deducts then why scan. Is it necessary to scan regularly.

 

I usually scan it 1-2 times/year....a good anti virus will scan your files in the background mode...when the pc is turned on...

 

My laptop scans itself every other day. I personally scan the laptop once a month & run Spybot & Tuneup utilities. I have a computer cleanup day its brilliant because it runs over soo smoothly. Also defrags are a necessary evil.

 

around every month of so i do a full system scan.The first time i found a proper virus scanner and deleter for free i had 900 viruses,adware,trojans etc...no wonder it ran so slow before!

 

I normally scan everything montly anti virus and anti spyware, registry cleaner etc.

 

I never scan my pc for virus..
My anti-virus scanner automatically scans in the background ohf my pc.....

Avast is the best anti-virus software ever

 

usually my pc is being scanned in realtime by McAfee Enterprise Edition.. 24/7... and about full system scan.. i do that like once in a YEAR.

 

It just does it automatically on Friday nights when i sleep. Why scan it every day? Seriously... Just don't download anything dodgy, don't go on dodgy websites and just use common sense. I went for a year without AV and did not catch anything.

 

I try to scan it at least once a week. With so many adware, spyware, and viruses I think I should be doing it more often.... but I would say its good to do it at least once a week.

 

I have been using Mcafee for 4 years now and it's perfect for me. Though I'm thinking to switch to 'Kaspersky' but still Mcafee is very good than its competitors Norton & Symentic.

 

I have it set up so it does it when im sleeping everynight. just sucks when i wake up to a stupid virus on my hard drive not that it really ever happens. oh except when my girl does something weird....

 

Spyware about every couple of weeks. I use Firefox on a Vista machine so haven't had any spyware yet. AV I let the auto scan do the job. I save all data on an external hard drive so it is seperate from my system drive.

 

I don't even have any anti-virus or scanner for the past 4-5 months. You can say i scan my computer once in a blue moon.

 

i scan mine at a 8am every day... it auto scans for me.. if i cancel it then, i put it on before i go to bed and scan it then

 

Sorry, but NONE of these can detect ALL of them by themselves.

Run many tools in conjuction. One missed here is: RemoveITPro.
