How often do you reinstall Windows on your machine?

never. i could say whenever it breakes, but i take care of my computer, of my operating system, and it never breakes, so, i don't reinstall windows, i only install windows when i'm changing my computer.

 

On my current computer I have yet to reinstall windows. It's been about 2 years since i got it/built it.

 

well with XP I never had too.. but im pretty anal about security and was always keeping it updated.
that and I am pretty handy at removing spyware through reg keys..etc.

but with Vista, roughly 3 times since Beta 2 began because of updates.

not complete reinstalls though, just updating to Beta2 and RC1.

 

Whenever it breaks..on the positive note, i havent had to reinstall windows for atelast a yearnow..

Incredible! Though the system I use ir pirated, still have to reinstall my system every three month. What's wrong with my PC? I had it checked by the maintaining center, but nothing wrong was found about the hardware.

 

Only when it crashes. It's simply too much work to reinstall the whole thing, I loose at least a day in the process.
At the moment, it's up & running for 2 years, hope it works another 2 years from now.

 

well every time I get a virus that I can't get rid of, about two weeks a go I was doing a google search looking at web sites similar my site and.
I somehow found myself with Trojan virus, this thing I spent hours trying to get rid of it and it just kept duplicating itself telling me I had a virus and it was the virus.
I deleted cookies temp files etc. turned off my Internet connection and search for it deleted everything I found and it still somehow duplicated itself so I was forced to reload everything to get rid of it.
Now I updated my virus program
I spend a lot of time on the computer , I would say I reload about 2 to 4 x a year

 

When your computer get slow, but i recommend every two months

 

Never. It works good and fast enough so far

 

Juste use wirehack and virustotal or novirusthanks, an antivirus is useless

 

reinstall my Windows XP usually After 3 -6 months.

 

I usually donot reinstall windows normally unless i see some serious problem in my OS.

 

you answered your own question...use a tainted copy and you never know what you are going to get

 

I usually do a reinstall and reformatting about once a year.

 

I am using laptop. and its gone two times service center...

so its 2 time for me....

 

I recently did it the first time for 18 month I use a new machine!Unfortunately, the blue screen came up and nothing could help except to reinstall Windows!
