If I see something interesting that I would like to check out, then I'll click on the ads. But it's not something that I will do everyday.
When I was a relatively a newbie, I used to click often on various links as they appeared in advts...since I found them giving good info themselves rather than the site I was on... It appeared to be of great help...but only then..not anymore... I hardly look at them.....since then... Perhaps the whole perception of such advts. has changed for me. Regards, RightMan
dont harm the advertiser by clicking ads you dont find interesting. click ads only if you find them interesting, this way you will benefit both of them.
I never do clicks! since 2 years back when i came to know that publishers get profit when some one clicks
After going through all this threads, I think it would be good 'Karma' only, by clicking some one is gaining. One can do it, if they wish.
I'v accidently clicked on ads - when I've been "tricked" into doing so. Its mainly on Web Directories - ever come across those Google ads that say "Submit your site"? They are often strategcally placed to look like the links of the Web Directory so you end up clicking on them by accident.
I do not think that Google care that much. I can see if you click on your own. If nobody clicked on ads, then they would not make any money. So if nobody clicked the ads, then there would be adsense. I would not go crazy, and click ads all day or anything. If you do a search on Google, and click a sponsored ad, why would Google ban your adsense account. Start clickong on your own, then you will have problems. So in my opinion, If you see something interesting, click on it, that is why they are there. But for the poor smuck paying for the ad, we do not want to click on ads we have no interest in. Maybe do not visit the same site and click on the ads to much, Like for a friend, that might raise some flags, but yeah. You get my point. This is just my take on clicking ads.
Off: Guys, you ask this question 3 times a day. Are you out of ideas ? On: I click ads only when they are flash and catchy, and if I'm interested in that subject.
Well, I click on google ads very rarely...only if I am interested..I guess most of webmaster rarely do click on ads..while other times I don't click on the ad but try to go directly to the link adress using my browser..)
I tend to type the address into a seperate browser and go directly to the site. It saves the advertisers money, sometimes the I click on the advet but not very often.
I will never click on adsense ads, unless I found it attractive and there's no url displayed (in case or url displayed, I would rather type the url in a new browser / tab.
I have found that because of doing web design and being around this community so long, I have become blind to ads. The only ones that get me these days are those video ads. Something about that dam play button is just so tempting.
when the ad is interesting, I view the ads. i do the same in gmail ads, google search ads, or whatever ads that is interesting to me.. but i do not really thank anyone for clicking their ads or never click my ads before.. we have to think twice for the advertisers as well, we cannot just click whatever we want.. unless we have some interests in particular ads those are not displayed on your own. I use 3 different IPs yet, i never click on any ads anyway.. it will make more clicks invalid and in the long run, nobody will make a cent out of adsense anymore.. so, be honest and click other ads when it's genuine interest to u..
Clicking adsense on other site merely for rewarding the owner is a bad karma, I guess. The bad goes to the advertiser who tried to sale something but you click their ads just to waste their money without any return. I click whenever I feel it's necessary for me, especially when I am looking for something. For example, I try to search for digital picture frame at my favorite gadget site, but return nothing in their search result. Luckily, the ads above the fold show me something relevant, such as "cheap digiframe from china". Because it's relevant, so I click it. it save some of my time to go to the search engine and search for a similar query... (well, just my opinion)
