Given that Mr. Cutts has indicated that he suspects there wont be an update for days or weeks and given that the PR update (the one we get to see, not the ongoing one at Google) was expected late august/early september - how often do you check your PR for updates. Has this announcement from Matt Cutts changed the frequency of checking? Lisa you can check more than one answer in the poll - specifically, check one of the last 2 questions as well as your answer to how often.
I rather put my time on working on something else on the site. But following that onc in a month or so isn't bad to know your progress as per Google.
I just have the FireFox extension that puts the PR and Alexa rank in my toolbar and so everytime I go to my websites I see the PR and Alexa, so I would say that would be considered checking every site and every page obsessively
I check only when it's almost time for Google to update the PageRank. Well, there is no need for me to check regularly as I have the Search Status extension installed on my Firefox.
I have that as well but I don't trust it for an update - when there's a update in progress, I like to use some of the tools that show the pr on various data centers. Lisa
Never - I could care less about Google PR (now how often do I check SERPS? Daily. PR is not important, SERPS are. If you have PR 5 but still number 800 for your main term, what good is that?)
I voted for "When I think about it - maybe once a month or so". However, I now do not check the PR of my sites, as I have entered my e-mail on SmartPageRank.com - when you check a domain there is a "Be notified when your PageRank on xxxxxx.com changes!" table - so they will e-mail me when it changes.
