For me I usually check once or twice a day. I only have 1 keyphrase that I need to worry about so it's very easy to do for me.
I check once everyday, but I pay more attention to the keywords visitors found my site under. Then I'm checking for the seasonal trends, search volume, competition for those keywords so I can see if I want to further optimize for them.
I check every couple of days or so but some of my keywords i don't even check up on (too many sites lol)
Hi Liam to check your sites keyword positioning, just type your particular keywords into Google or Yahoo search, and see where your site is positioned.
Ahhhh. Well I though there was a way to check if it was even listed under that keyword. Some of my keywords im at the top nearly but some of em I get bored after 30 or so pages. lol. Feel really dumb now.
How to check your keywords that people are getting to your site from? There's a much easier way than manual looking. You use "google analytics" and it'll give you stats on which keywords you are getting traffic from. From there you'll be able to tell which ones are the most powerful and which to bother checking. I would even bother checking anything past page 3 unless it was a 500,000 a month searched keyword. I often check out the highest quality keyword for each of my site once a day. If I went through them all it would take 4 or 5 hours. the best is the only important one. But jeez, I really need to try to get that higher (i'm out of ideas)
I check them fortnightly and if there is a sudden increase in the flow of visitors I would then check from which particular set of keywords my site is capitalizing on.
I check my keywords in the search engines every day. I only have 5 to check for so far so it isn't to hard, I also rank within the first ten pages on Google for the 5 keywords
