How often do you guys change your site?

I don't mean tweak the content or that I mean a proper full version change.

I usually find myself changing it around 6-12 months. One of my sites I changed within 2 months of going up simply as i didn't like the layout. What are your views and oppinions on this?

Depends on the niche really. I would think if your competition is uses cutting edge layout techniques/designs then you should do the same...probably.

I changed my personal blog site after 2 years of first putting it up but I change and tweak bits and pieces of it every 3 to 6 months or so.

If you're in it for business, the best is to ask your visitors or consumers. Do a survey and really listen to them and then implement changes accordingly.

If your website has nothing to do with business at all, then by all means change it at your own whim.

I would say that the best determinant of change should be your web analytics, they will tell you when people are having trouble finding what they need to
