Since there are a lot of WordPress themes in the market, how often does one blogger really change their themes?

My first blog, I changed the themes often until I found one that works. For any new blogs, I have the theme picked out before hand...I even started one just because a theme gave me ideas for subject matter.

If it looks good, I don't change the often.

Sometimes, finding the right theme for your blog can be a difficult task to handle, considering there are a lot of choices to make... and tons of crappy ones in the middle. :(

I actually never changed my theme after installing my current one... changing a theme takes so much effort specially with magazine themes already being installed. Way too much work anyway... in my blog.. I say Content stays the King!

I have used some magazine themes also and you really have to customize it before it fully works. So much hassle, I can say. Tsk. Tsk.

I don't think it is a wise move to change themes often. You don't want to confuse your regular visitors...

It depends. I've never really opened up a website officially.

But if you start off with one, build your site or blog up > Bring in a new site wide feature > Change colour and theme possibly to call your website/blog NAME v2 or so. Obviously not ALL the time but in gentle stages.

I seldom change themes, maybe twice a year max - I find it too much hassle modifying a theme. If I do change it's only when I've expanded the blog to accept advertisements etc...

I was just wondering too, do you use seasonal themes? Like if it is Christmas, will you also change your blog to a more "Christmas" look and feel?

I changed three times since I moved to WordPress a year ago. Not a drastic change though, as I tweaked the themes almost the same way.

    I mostly changed theme because:

    1) The first one I picked was badly coded and I ended up with errors
    2) The second one was good but I wanted a new layout

I don't think it's good to change to often since a theme is your "window" and your "brand".

I always try to improve small things (graphics etc.) when I can, though!

I don't prefer not changing that because users are used to be finding things at place. I can change the color schemes at times though

I do rarely change themes...my blog isn't new and I've placed a lot of custom stuff there, changing a theme means a lot of work to me.
